Fire Doors
Component Structures manufacture the complete range of the fire doors in accordance with SABS 1253/1994 for both commercial and industrial applications.
Construction
The doors consist of an asbestos free solid core 38mm thick Pyro Core panel which is finished with hardwood edges and optional decorative veneers ie;
Exotics : Sapele, Oak, Cherry, Beech, Maple, etc.
Painting : Masonite, Commercial.
Steel Cladding : Mild Steel (Red Oxide Primer), Galvanised 0,8mm to 1,6mm
Formica : As specified
Fire doors are supplied pre-hung in purpose made pressed steel frames - 1,6mm thick with a 25x50mm rebate screw fixed to frame with 3 heavy duty brass hinges.
Range and Size
Fire doors are purpose made to suit specific opening sizes within practical limits. The doors may be either hinged or sliding.
Self closing
Fire doors are required to be self closing:
Hinged Doors : Door closer or floor spring - single action
Sliding Doors : Fusible link

Viewing panels
Each leaf of a fire door Class A, B, E or F rating may have one glazed area 100mmx300mm with double glazing using clear wired glass or suitable fire resistant glass.
Hands
All fire doors should open out.
Ironmongery
A wide range of manual or electronic locking systems are available to suit the client’s needs. Lock heights are measured from the finished floor level to the centre of the striker plate. Standard lock height is 1015mm.

Arranged by suitable sub-contractor on request.
Warranty
Component Fire Doors are guaranteed to be of good quality material and workmanship.
This warranty will only apply if:
• Doors are accorded reasonable treatment by the purchaser and the user.
• The structural strength of the door is not impaired by the incorrect fitting of doors and ironmongery.
